The best remake?

A thread about Point Break remade here makes me curious about the best remake ever made in movie history. Do you have any particular remake you like the most?

They are seriously remaking Point Break, the movie with Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves? Seems like remakes are the only ideas movie producers come up with now. I usually don't like too many remakes. I love horror movies, but the remakes they keep coming up with are horrible in themselves. Actually Halloween Part 1 remake was decent, but Part 2 was ridiculous.

Yeah, I don't like the idea of remaking movies either. Those who have remade great movies mostly ended up messing the movie up. I hope nobody would dare to remake The Godfather or Citizen Kane.

That would be a disaster if they remade The Godfather. I think even Francis Ford Coppola couldn't make such a great movie as it is anymore. The Godfather is one of the best movies ever, just leave it alone.
