My wife and I have been married for almost 45 years. We've always communicated well and enjoyed each other's company. I think communication is one thing that held our marriage together. What do you think the secrets to a happy marriage are?

I think communication is the key. There are so many issues that can be solved if the couple is willing to honestly communicate with each other.

You are lucky to be married to the same woman for 45 years. Aside from open communications, I think that mutual respect is needed for a good marriage.

Well communication is definitely one thing to think about, also thinking before you speak is a great one. It is easy to think before hand than be smacked with a rolling pin later.
