I think my child is becoming a hoarder and don't know what to do. He doesn't want to throw or give away anything. We have baby toys that he doesn't play with, but the mere mention of giving them to his little cousin sends him over the edge. Anyone else go through this? Any suggestions on how to get him over this?

Really young children have difficulty sharing but I think you will find that if you remove some of these toys without his knowledge, he won't even notice that they're missing. You could also try not buying him new toys unless he first gives some old ones away.

We do what danno says, we take a few of the toys that the kids don't play with and stash them for a while. If they don't realize they are gone for a few months then we usually send them to our friends who have younger kids.
