Why all the 3D movies?

I don't understand the 3D phenomenon. Almost every movie this summer is in3D. Yes, it does add a little dimension to the picture, but rarley does it add to the story. Are you a fan of 3D?

Not really. I prefer the conventional ones. I think 3D movies are targeted to younger people especially children. Certain movies are better presented in 3D format though.

I don't see what all the hype is about myself, but then again, I haven't seen anything in 3D recently. My son has just started getting into the Harry Potter thing and he found out the other day that the new movie that is coming out in November will also be released in 3D so he's all excited. I guess I'll be going to that
