Worst punishment

As parents it is our responsibility to discipline our children and rear them to be well-balanced people. But, how do we differentiate the "just right" to the "really grave" kinds of punishment? What's the worst punishment you think you've given to your kid/s?

I think it helps to look at it from the kid's point of view and also examine your own motivations. Punishment can sometimes be disguised revenge. I don't think it's a good idea to use force or to humiliate the child. Treat them with respect even as you are disciplining them.
