My kids kind are to old to go trick or treating, but a lot of the kids on the block aren't so I'm expecting a lot of vampires, ghosts and mummies tonight, either way happy Halloween to everybody, here's hoping the ghouls get scared back to the underworld :).

My kids also read, but they kind of got the spark at an early age, I used to read to them when they were young and I guess they must have enjoyed it because I always see them lugging around a book.

I saw the movie myself back when it was running in theaters and it gave the notion that it was The Gladiator with much less action and way slower plot development, but it was an enjoyable movie nonetheless.

Get them the dog, if they refuse to take care of it next time they want something you can always bring up the dog and you also get a pet, because let's be frank who doesn't like dogs?

My son was around 15 and one summer he arrived kind of late home and rushed to his room, the next day it was obvious what happened since the room smelled of alcohol and he was having his first hangover, needles to say he promised he would never drink again and at least I haven't seen him drunk...

I don't think there are audio filters, it would be a nice feature seeing how some kids might get exposed to bad language with out them actually willing to partake in such a verbal exchange since to the best of my knowledge you can play and talk to just about anyone in online play.

My daughter lost one actually way back, but I bought a book which was the same value as the book she lost and that was the end of it, either way I think you can actually subscribe to online libraries if I'm not mistaken, I'm not sure however because I usually buy a book and read it.

When it's about newborn's you should always take them to a doctor, they are more sensitive than adults and consultation over the net is mostly speculating seeing how I don't think anybody in this forum is an m.d. and even if they are, I doubt they can diagnose as accurately as when they see the...

I myself listen to some rock and maybe metal, my kids don't really share my taste in music, but every generation has to have it's voice, doesn't matter if you think it's dumb, my parents didn't agree with my taste in music either.

In your opinion when is the right time to have this talk? I myself opted for 13-14 years old just when puberty hits in, of course it was more about how to be safe, I'd rather kids know how to be safe than ignore it and do something dumb. I actually heard something about kids in New Zealand...

It's sad when kids become tools of spite, a parent who is not thinking about whats best for her kids should lose the privilege of being a parent in the first place, too bad the law doesn't seem to agree with me.

I agree with Matt, being a parent is much like leading an army, you have to lead by example and you have troops that are very impressionable. You have to make the right decisions and get them though this war called life.

Well the harder part is after birth, waking up in the middle of the night to see why the babby is crying, changing diapers and so on. It's not exactly a precis to do list since every baby is different, but be helpful and willing to learn and things will work out.

I think most of us have gotten past the point where we can't just fill our bodies with what ever we like and not regret the consequences so what do you miss the most, I myself have to admit miss putting a ton of salt on everything. What about you?

I guess I should have a more open mind, but I'm a little big for cartoons myself and was just curios if the quality is dropping or am I starting to get that old, another thing I noticed is that every character is shaped like a square I imagine that's to save on production costs.
