I think 4 is a great age to start pre-school. It's good for kids to start early and be around other kids. I think kids who go to pre-school excel more in school. Let him go.

Towels, toys, chairs, shovels, pails, etc. It will be a lot of fun I'm sure. My wife usually packs for day outings too. I'm lucky if I remember to bring myself - lol. Have a blast!

I can't imagine handing my kids off - I bet it is really hard. My brother is a divorcee and he has to meet his ex-wife at a store and hand them off. It's really odd if you ask me.

Do you have an office? I would try to stick in it as much as possible during the work day. Perhaps you can work early in the morning when they are still sleeping and then have some time to do things with them too.

I'm a gardener too, but it's not a hobby. I make time to do it- it's fresh fruits and veggies. I like to work on tractors. It's something I enjoy doing. Taking something that doesn't work and making it run.

Nope, my kids don't go back until September though. We have plenty of time left. I let the kids go with my wife for school clothes shopping. It's almost a full 2 weeks pay out the door!

I don't know either. I just know my wife always said breast milk is better. Who knows why? lol.... I guess it's just not something I ever really needed to know. I think formula must have the same types of things in it, I don't see a lot of sick babies.

We always had set time limits on the TV too when the kids were younger. Now as they are older, they choose to not watch as much. Heck I can't even get them to sit down to watch something.

We have always had pets. I think a cat or a dog would be fine. Just know ahead of time that you will be helping out a lot with the pet. It's a big responsibility for a child.

My wife mentioned that we should get an entertainment book for Virginia Beach. We are heading there for a week soon. I saw a deal online where you can get them for $7.99 now. Do you think it's a good idea to purchase an entertainment book at a discount for a travel destination?

You know I would agree with you, but a year is 365 days. It just seems like it is flying by as we get older. More responsibility, more work, less time to play.

My dad and I are very close, and yes he is still around. He lives about 5 miles from me. I'm very close to my parents and my kids are very close to their grandparents.

We both cook. We both love to cook! I do most of the grilling in the nicer weather. I also make a mean chili and soups. I don't think it's a woman's job to cook!
