The first time round we agonised for weeks, maybe months over a name! My wife bought a book, everyone chipped in suggestions and ideas and the whole thing was quite a time consumer. When you get to #4 there's no time for that and we take turns now!
We are not expecting a baby, but we have been. We would normally list several names and choose the best among the names. We wouldn't make the decision till the baby was born though.
We aren't expecting currently either. But, when my wife was pregnant...choosing a name was the most difficult thing! Just finding names that we both could agree on was a challenge. We pretty much used all 9 months to discuss names!
