Allowance?

How much do you pay for allowances? I remember getting $2 a week when I was a kid. It seems like the going rate has increased dramatically.

I was paid $4 a week when I was pre-teen age. It went up to $6 a week until I was 16 and got my own job. Then my parents would pay me for certain jobs, but not weekly. I don't know what we'll pay, but I'm sure it'll be way too much.

We pay $5 a week if they complete all of their required chores. We cut down if they don't do specific things. I'm sure it will increase when they get older.

I think I got $3 or so when I was a child. At that time it's quite a lot and I could buy the world with that amount.

I too remember looking forward to getting my $2, wondering what to get with it. I don't think it's a good thing that my kids would think I'm crazy if I handed them $2.
