Anyone been to Solvang?

I am thinking about taking the family to this Danish village in California for a long weekend. I'm not sure how much there is for a youngster to do but it sounds like a nice area to visit. Any tips?

Check out the Hans Christian Anderson museum. His life story is actually a little sad, especially in the romance department. There are lots of neat shops but be aware that many places to eat seem to close up early.
