What age is appropriate to get your child a bicycle? We got our daughter a tricycle last year, and I want to get her a bicycle for Christmas. My wife thinks she is still too young though (she will be three in January).
Is she outgrowing the tricycle? I think four is a good age for a bicycle, but if she is outgrowing the tricycle you may have to upgrade sooner. If not, I would wait another year.
If she has good coordination, you can try buying her one of those really little bicycles with training wheels. We got one for my son when he was that age and it was just his size.
