Daughter having troubles

My daughter is having some problems in school. Her "so-called" friends are being mean to her because a boy likes her. She likes this boy as a friend but because one of her other friends likes the boy they are ALL being mean to her. She is a wreck! I don't even know what to do to help her.

It's tough when kids are at that age where their friends start to become fickle. It's something that will pass. Maybe you can speak to the parents of the friends who are being mean to her?

How exactly are they being mean to her? Do they bully her? If that is the case, you should definitely do something about it. Bullying is a serious problem and schools have more drastic policies against such behavior than they used to...

I would advise her to talk to this boy and explain that she is not interested in a romantic relationship. Maybe then, the other girl could have a chance of catching the boy's attention.
