When it's just the family, I will put together my own patties. I like to add some onion soup mix into the meat. But like jason, if it's a group we're cooking for, I'll buy a box of frozen patties.
My wife usually mixes them and pats them out unless like the others said we are having a bunch of people over and even then sometimes she will still do it.
We always make our own hamburgers. I do not make them, my wife does. Then sometimes she brings them out for me to grill instead of just doing it on the stove.
