Family that tries to one-up

I am so tired of certain family members that always try to one up other family members. I am dealing with this right now. I wish people just lived their lives and not worry about other people.

I gave up on people like that long ago. Life is not a competition unless you are playing sports or have a good hand in a nice card game. When "family" gets like that they forget what real "family" is all about.

I agree! I have never been this way but these other people are driving me bonkers! I pretty much stay right away from them now. I wish my wife would stay away from them too.

With family like that you don't need co-workers, right? I've never understood families that do that. They act like strangers towards each other and that's just weird I think.

I have never felt the need to "keep up with the Jones'". I think that it is just plain silly to try to compete with others based on what you have. We have what we have and we only try to do better than ourselves.
