Georgia takes up the personhood battle

After Amendment 26 failed in Mississippi, now the fight has moved on to Georgia where once again pro-life advocates will ask voters to agree that life begins at conception. Georgia Amendment Launches New And Improved Personhood Battle

This whole thing is ridiculous to me. I do have faith that since it failed in Mississippi it has potential to fail in Georgia as well.

I don't know, I read an article about this and they are taking a different tact than they did in Mississippi so it just might pass.

I saw that they changed some of the wording, like that the bill wouldn't also imply that a fetus would have to have a passport or something like that. I am curious about what will happen. I am hoping it doesn't pass but I think it could go either way.

I live in Georgia, and I could totally see this passing. Probably with a small margin, but I could see it passing here. I haven't seen any commercials or anything yet, but I'll keep you posted if I do.

This is the Bible Belt we are talking about here. I would say this amendment has a better than 50% chance of passing if it makes it all the way to the ballot.
