Horses a fad?

If anyone else out there has daughters, maybe you could answer this for me. Mine is 10 and she just LOVES horses. Is this the type of thing that is usually a phase they go through, or is this here to stay?

I asked my wife and she said it's a fad. Unfortunately though, when she hangs up the horse obsession it will be probably be for boys.

Thankfully, I already have horses so I won't have to listen to my daughter nagging me for one. I hope that doesn't mean she's going to go straight to being boy crazy...lol.

If it makes you feel better, my two year old points out horses when she seem them. Sometimes though she will call a cow a horse. Then she starts repeating that she wants to ride them.
