Kids in wedding?

I do want her kids involved in the wedding but since we're planning a late one I want to get a sitter for the last part of the reception and send them away. I'm just worried about them around so many drunk guests. What did you guys do?

I think that sounds perfectly reasonable, Regis. This way the kids are involved, but when it gets later and the adults want to let loose a little they can do so without worrying about having to watch what they say or do. And for anyone who isn't watching what they say or do, the kids won't see it

I agree with this, kids can be in the wedding and be there for the 1st part of reception. I would also send them home after that. It's better for the adults and the kids. I see nothing wrong with it.
