Not all comics are for kids!

Occasionally I go to the comic shop. Yesterday a man and apparently his young son came in. The man was furious because they had sold him a comic book he didn't think was appropriate for his son. The man had just purchased it an hour earlier but apparently didn't notice that it came from the adult section. He thought it was wrong of the store to be selling comics with adult material.

I guess he learned a valuable lesson - not every comic book is meant for children. Look at it before you buy it for your son!

I think a lot of parents want the world to be child-proof but it just does not work that way. Some things are for adults and it is the job of a parent to make sure their children are exposed only to certain aspects of the world at certain times.

Does anyone remember Cracked? I conned my dad into buying that one time for us. He did because it looked so much like Mad magazine.
