Opening Day

My two oldest boys had their opening day for baseball this weekend. My oldest was the pitcher. He only pitched 3 innings but only one person got a hit off of him (it was his cousin also). My other son caught the whole game. He went horizontal for a foul ball in such a way, I wish I had it on tape. Even the umpire came over and "bumped fists" with him after that play. He also has the only score for the team.

Too bad they lost 2 to 1, so they were pretty upset.

Yeah they did. I know they were upset, because they are real competitive. And ,=my oldest is real emotional.

It's not about winning when they are really young. Heck our kids could not even keep score when they were super little. It was about teaching them the game and having fun. It sounds like your kids had a ball!
