Prescreening Movies

I have a little one and with the state of movies these days, I would rather prescreen any movie she sees. My wife says it's unnecessary but I really would like to keep her a child for as long as possible. I know she sees some things in real life all of the time but I would rather shield her from as much as possible. What do you think?

I don't know if you can completely police everything your children see. I understand your point but what about when you take them to the movies? Do you go to the movie first to see it and then take your child back? Even children's movies and programs sometimes have issues I would rather the kids not learn of, but it happens.
