Time Shares

I know, I know, it's hard to even say the word, but my family loves Disney and they are clamoring for us to buy into the time share that Disney has. It is a very tempting idea and I have actually been thinking about it. Does anyone here have any experience with it?

I don't have any experience with time shares. I've always heard that they are a bad investment; I guess because you're paying so much to essentially rent the property.

I have heard bad things about time shares too. Not only are you paying purchasing price to rent it, you don't even really get to pick the times you want to "rent" it for. You get so many weeks per year and they are divided up between all the "buyers". You would be better off buying a property down there and having a place to stay whenever you want it.
