Warts, yuck

What is the best way to get rid of a new wart without going to the doctor? Are there any over the counter or home remedies that really work?

I've gotten them a few times on my finger when I was a little kid, but my mother never took me to the doctor for them. She had me put this pink stuff on them everytime, but I can't remember the name of it. Maybe just search for some kind of cream or liquid specifically for warts. I'm sure you'll find something.

There is something called Bio-freeze or something of the nature. You put on a patch and it freezes the wart off. I had a friend who just used duct tape- they taped the area. The tape did not let any air to the wart and it died.

I had a couple warts last year and I used Compound W, but I wasn't really impressed with it. If I ever need something like that again, I think I'm going to look for something different.
