What are the chances of having triplets?

I know there are several artificial ways to genetically modify the inseminated egg in order to have triplets, but I was wondering - what are the chances of having triplets from regular intercourse? Do you know anyone who had triplets? I think I would feel overwhelmed with three babies coming at once.

I was just reading about this. The chance of triplets in a normal pregnancies varies from person to person. It depends on your age, race and family history.

From what I understand once you hit 30 your chance for multiples goes up, including your chance at having triplets. Of course that means your chance of complications goes up as well.

I think that Asians have the highest rate of triplets. I don't think the rate is very high though. I don't know anyone who has triplets.
