When did you feel like a dad?

I was watching an episode of Friends where Ross finds out that his ex-wife is pregnant. He wonders when he will ever feel like a dad, if it will be when he holds his son for the first time. The feeling actually comes when his pet monkey chokes on a Scrabble tile and has to go to the hospital.

So a question to you - when did you feel like a dad for the first time?

As soon as my wife told me she was pregnant, I was fast-forwarding to being in the delivery room and holding the baby.
