    Puss In Boots

Has anyone seen this movie yet? I wanted to take my eight year old son and his friend to go see it but they balked at it. I thought they would like it but they said the movie looked boring. I was quite surprised to their reaction. It's weird that my son seems more enthusiastic to see a Pixar...

    Getting older

I am upset that I can't play basketball like I used to. Pain that I never had before starts to creep in. Also my eyes are starting to go. I never wore glasses and I could see near or far with no effort but nowadays I have trouble focusing. (sigh)

    Steve Jobs The Autobiography

I got the audiobook and I must say that I laughed and I cried. It is a very good biography of a man who was passionate about changing the world thorough art and technology. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Dennis Ritchie (the inventor of C), are true titans of technology over the past thirty years.

    Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

A few days ago I was experiencing sharp pain in my left hand around the pinky area and shot down to my elbow. It was so bad that I couldn't move my pinky at all. I went to the doctor and she told me it looked like Cubital Tunnel Syndrome (which is caused by the nerves in your elbow to be...

    ham

I love a good ham as well, especially with pineapples. We haven't eaten it at all these past few years because my wife decided to eat more "healthy" with more vegetarian dishes and dishes using far less meat. It makes me pine for meat that is nice and salty like ham.

    Feminine

I agree as well. Besides, if anyone things you are "feminine" or feels that homemaker duties are beneath men then it is their problem and not yours. You do what you feel is right for you and your family. Other people don't really matter.

How do you pass the time?

Enjoy the boredom. I think if you relax you'll find the inspiration to do something that will keep you motivated and productive. You may find yourself wanting to learn something new or maybe do some virtual freelancing. You'll see that it will all work out.

LMFAO: I'm Sexy And I Know It

My eight year old is really into this song and video by the group LM*AO now after seeing it on Youtube. I'm not sure if it's not appropriate for his age to watch/listen to that kind of song. I think the song is quite hilarious and not at all offensive compared to some of the other stuff that's...

    Juice Box Mixers

I found this site that has recipes for cocktails using your kid's favorite box juice. I thought it was hilarious. I am not sure if it is real but I am tempted to try it out. It made my day for sure. :) American Drink | Back to School Special

    Mr. Bean Reborn

I think Rowan Atkinson is hilarious. My son started enjoying Mr. Bean after I downloaded a couple of episodes from iTunes. He really wants to see Johnny English but with homework, soccer and basketball, we don't have any time to see it.

    Fight over stupidity

That's a tough one. I believe that the body can heal itself of most common ailments. I do take Tylenol, for example, to relieve certain symptoms if they are getting in the way of doing my daily routine otherwise I let my body take care of itself. I think this has helped me to become less prone...

    No more soda

The fact that some people claim they use Coke to clean their toilet is something to think about. It is good that you want to drink more water instead. We've been cutting back a lot on all the sweeten drinks even though we enjoy them. We definitely stop buying drinks that have high fructose corn...

    Tofu recipes?

Some soy sauce brands offer a low salt version. I really don't know if you can find it everywhere. In our area, not every store carries them. My mother loves soy sauce, but because of her high blood pressure, she buys the low salt version. It is still a bit salty but nowhere near as salty as...

    Steve Jobs Dead at 56

People who have a general knowledge of technology and use Apple products would know who he is. But his value to this world is not his celebrity but what Apple contributed to improving our lives.

My Nine Year Old's Favorite Basketball Player

The other day at a picnic, my friend asked my nine year old son who his favorite basketball player was. My son quickly blurted "Larry Bird." My initially response was "What?!" I just assumed it would be Lebron James or Dwayne Wade. I asked him how did that come about. Apparently he's been...
