Getting the kids to eat thier veggies.

Lately our youngest has really been fighting us when it comes to eating his veggies. This is something recent as he really was never a picky eater. Any suggestions on how to get him to eat his vegetables?

Getting The Crew Going In The Morning

Good luck, one meltdown for us is actually a good day for us(of course many of those times it's my meltdown). My best suggestion is do everything you can get away with the night before. Make lunches, set out clothes, have backpacks ready, that kind of stuff.

Keeping in Touch with Your Family?

I have never really been close with my extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins and such. So, I have done my best to keep close with my siblings so that my kids have relationships with thier extended family. We talk often and see each other on a regular basis.

    Home Game of Darts?

I used to play on a team with some friends in a league, so I've had one hanging in my "cave"(as my wife puts it) for a while. It's great because people of all levels can play and still have a good time.

    Favorite Toys Passed to Kids?

I have an old train set that I bring out every once in a while. Sometimes it's hard for me to turn over the controls to the kids because I always get the sinking feeling they're going to break it.

    Coupon clipping...worth it?

My wife has started clipping coupons. So now she's buying brands that she has coupons for and not ones that I necessarily like. Does your family clip coupons and does it really save that much money?

    Preferred Meal on The Go?

When we have to get something quick, I'll usually swing by the grocery store and pick up a couple rotisserie chicken and a couple of sides. The kids like it and I think it's a bit better than regular fast food.

    Nostradamus and other predicitions.

I've seen programs about Nostradamus and I thought they were pretty interesting. I don't think he predicted the end of the world until after like the year 3000 xomething though. As far as his predicitons go, I think people can read into what he's written to make it fit into things that have...

    Cranky kids in the morning.

We have tried different bed times, taking naps, skipping naps, and nothing seems to help. My youngest just seems to be cranky in the morning. Do you have any kids that just hate waking up in the morning?

    When you get married...?

I had a pretty good job before I got married. I also had a bunch of debt that I had racked up during my college years. My soon to be wife was in about the same situation. We did go through our finances before we got married and took the first few years working to pay down our debt.

    Last Time Out?

The last time me and "the boys" went out was probably before Thanksgiving. We've gotten together at one or the others homes to catch some of the football games, but those were family get togethers. Still fun, though.

    Reading, other than the newspaper.

My wife is in a book club with some friends and she is constantly trying to get me to read their current slection(whatever it might be). I stopped to realize that I really don't read that much other than a couple of magazines and the newspaper. Do you read novels or do any casual reading...

"For the sake of the children"

I think if things get to a point where the environment and relationship is so toxic, that everyone is miserable, then a divorce might be what is neccessary. I would hope that most people would try and work on their issues before resorting to a divorce.

    Kids Reaching Puberty Too Soon

I had to ask my wife about this, but from what she says, 11 and 12 years old for girls is about right. It's hard to admit they're growing up, it all happens so fast.

    Sports

We had our kids in some type of organized athletic activity from an early age. Whether it was dance classes, gymnastics, soccer, baseball, and so on. Just something to expose them to the activity and see if it's something they wanted to continue.

Do you watch more television in the Winter?

The holiday re-runs are over and I am back to looking forward to my favorite shows again each week. It made me start thinking how in the summer, there are hardly any new shows to watch and I don't miss it all that much. It's probably because I spend so much more time indoors in the Winter...

    Buying clothes

This is so my wife's department. Now my daughters are old enough to where they go to the mall with their friends and buy clothes. They just come to me for the cash and I leave it up to my wife to make sure what they wear is appropriate enough for whatever occassion.

    Gay couples having children

I think this is a bit of a harsh statement, and one that anyone who's had an experience with foster children or adoption would contend with. I don't have an issue with responsible adults wanting, having, loving and raising a child.

    New cell phone, or not...

I usually hang onto mine for as long as I can. But, I have to say, I'm looking forward to trading in the phone I have now. I don't like the touchscreen on it and the ringer is too quiet. So, when my contract is up and they offer me a deal, I'm taking it.

    Carpal tunnel?

I think I might be starting to have carpal tunnel symptoms. There are nights when I wake up and my thumb, index finger, and middle finger will be numb. I also get some tingling when I have a bit of a drive. Could this be carpal tunnel? Is there anything I can do to alleviate these symptoms...
