I understand not wanting to complicate things by bringing two sets of children together. I grew up in a situation like that and it was difficult to say the least. I don't think I would personally blend my family like that but I have seen it work beautifully for others.

If you order through Amazon you can still get 3 to 5 weekday shipping so you can make it, I think. I would not risk ordering past the 15th though. If you do, get it expedited or something!

We always get terrible t-shirts. Somebody goes on vacation and picks up a ton of shirts from wherever they went. They bring them back and save them for the holidays. Now we each have shirts that say Hollywood, Honolulu, Seattle, and Salem even though we have never been to some of those places...

I have heard a lot of people say they pierced their little girl's ears so people will know that she is a girl. I just don't think it matters if people are aware that your baby is a girl, not enough to pierce their ears.

I have heard so many horror stories about divorce and couples who won't have a custody agreement put into place. There is nothing that I would let stand in the way of me seeing my kids. Why do so many beat around the bush when it comes to setting up custody agreements?

That describes my current situation very well. It's hard to get by these days and it's not for lack of trying. I have considered getting government assistance at times but I feel that we aren't to that point yet. Another downgrade in pay and I might be there though . . .
