I can see that. Since getting married I take care of myself better, plus I have my wife watching out for me. When I was single I really cared much less.
Do you and your family have a fire emergency escape plan? My wife is OCD about emergency situation, which I really respect her for. We have a plan for pretty much any emergency, and she talks to the kids about it often. How about you all?
My daughter is like that with my wife. She follows behind the exercises she does at home. We're an active family so I know we're teaching them some great things.
No I don't think you're ever too old. You can always learn a new trade or switch career paths. I think the hardest part would be financially secure enough to take the risk of switching everything.
I don't like wearing sunscreen, so I usually don't. My wife gets so upset with me and tries to reason with me. I don't really burn, but she swears that doesn't matter to being safe.
Do you wear it?
I too remember looking forward to getting my $2, wondering what to get with it. I don't think it's a good thing that my kids would think I'm crazy if I handed them $2.
I hate the dentist. I avoid it at all costs. I do go about once every 18 months or so. I'm trying to do once a year, but I just never actually make that cut off.
With our first baby I never missed an appointment, each child afterwards I've gotten to less and less of them. I'm usually at home with the other kids while she goes now.
I think I have actually seen the majority of the list. I don't agree with all of the choices, but it's not a bad start. Maybe we should help them add to it!
We sound a lot like you guys. We have dance, soccer, piano and gymnastic right now. In the fall T-ball will start, as well as another session of football. We're a pretty active family.
I guess it just really depends. If I want to move and I like the job it wouldn't take much money. If I loved my job and area, it would take a whole lot to make me leave it.
We all help out in the kitchen. The wife cooks, but we're all there assisting. Someone is setting the table, getting drinks, helping actually cook. It's a family affair.
I'm planning a breakfast in bed morning for my wife tomorrow. She's not been feeling great at all, and is kind of down in the dumps. What do you usually make when you do this? Just looking for some new ideas.
