    Something Different For Christmas Dinner

Does anyone have anything unique with their Christmas dinner, other than the traditional turkey or ham and dressing, cranberry sauce, yams, rolls, etc? If so, let's share and maybe we can all have something new on our menus this year.

    Christmas Movies

I always try to watch some of the Christmas movies that are on TV. My favorites are Miracle on 34th Street and It's a Wonderful Life. The kids like them, too. What are your favorites?

    Paying For Christmas Gifts

I know a lot of people pull out their credit cards to buy Christmas gifts, but I'm making an effort not to do that this Christmas. What about you?

    Cleaning Up the Mess

Who cleans up all the wrapping and ribbons after the presents are opened at your house? At mine, each one cleans up their own and we all take it to the trash after all the presents are open.

    Reporting Incidents To Teachers

I think there's a fine line that kids walk in reporting incidents to teachers without being labeled a tattle-tale. I don't know exactly where that line is. What do you think?

    Being Thankful and Giving

I always teach my kids to be thankful and to give. We have a tradition of putting food in the boxes that stores put out at Christmas. This year, we're getting a name off the Angel Tree to buy gifts for. Do you do anything like that with your kids?

    Here At Last!

Christmas season is here at last. I'll be busy with shopping, taking the kids shopping for their mom's gifts and a couple of get-togethers. What plans do you have?

    Turkey Only?

Of course, we always have turkey on Thanksgiving, along with all the traditional side dishes. Does anyone have another meat in addition to or instead of turkey? We usually have turkey and noodles, too, which is still turkey, but the variation is nice.

    Home Schooling

People take their kids out of public schools and home school them for all kinds of reasons. I'm just wondering what some of those reasons are and if you think they are valid reasons to home school.

    Flax Seeds

Does anyone use flax seeds for cooking? They're good in almost everything and healthy, too. I put them in salads, on sandwiches, in eggs, and on just about any food. I never actually cook with them, but add flax meal to food at the table, much like you'd add salt and pepper.

Wants To Spend Thanksgiving With Me

I just found out that my 4-year-old son wants to spend Thanksgiving day with me. He doesn't want to go to his mom's family's. I don't think there's anything wrong. We're just close and I think he sees Thanksgiving as a day to be with me. I feel like I should encourage him to go with his mom...

    Thanksgiving With The Kids

In the divorce decree, it states that my ex-wife will get the kids for Thanksgiving or Christmas and I'll get them for the other holiday. We didn't think that would be the best for the kids, so we worked it out so we are sharing them for both holidays. It wasn't easy, but they'll go to her...

    Marriage Counseling

My ex-wife suggested marriage counseling, but I didn't think it was needed. Looking back, I'm wondering if it might have helped. Has anyone ever used marriage counseling? Does it help?

    Hard Question

Looking back, I think I understand my ex-wife's perspective better. I was off work for a couple of years and she was working, but I didn't help her like I should have. I didn't listen to what she had to say or show much interest when she wanted to work out what I now realize were issues...

    Stepkids Who Don't Accept You

I haven't had to deal with this, but a friend of mine is. What can you do when your wife's kids give you a hard time? They're close to their dad and don't like having a stepfather. He wants to win them over, but doesn't know where to begin. One is 10 and the other is 13. They're both boys.

    Child Support

If the father gets custody and the wife has an income, do the courts require the wife to pay child support? If so, is the father's income considered in the amount she would have to pay or is it based on her income alone?

    Working From Home

I know a couple of women who work online at home and make fairly decent incomes. Are there any online jobs that men might like? I'm not being sexist. It's just that I don't think I'd like data processing or mystery shopping, and I'd like to be with my kids more.
